וַיִּקְרָ֤א עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ בִּדְבַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ מִזְבֵּ֣חַ מִזְבֵּ֔חַ כֹּ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה הִנֵּֽה־בֵ֞ן נוֹלָ֤ד לְבֵית־דָּוִד֙ יֹאשִׁיָּ֣הוּ שְׁמ֔וֹ וְזָבַ֣ח עָלֶ֗יךָ אֶת־כֹּהֲנֵ֤י הַבָּמוֹת֙ הַמַּקְטִרִ֣ים עָלֶ֔יךָ וְעַצְמ֥וֹת אָדָ֖ם יִשְׂרְפ֥וּ עָלֶֽיךָ׃
I zawołał przeciw ołtarzowi na rozkaz Wiekuistego, i rzekł: Ołtarzu, ołtarzu! tak rzecze Wiekuisty: Oto narodzi się syn domowi Dawida imieniem Jozjasz; ten wyrznie na tobie kapłanów wyżyn, którzy kadzą na tobie, a i kości ludzkie palić będą na tobie!

Josias, regardant de côté et d’autre, remarqua les tombeaux qui couvraient la montagne; il ordonna de retirer les ossements des tombeaux, de les brûler sur l’autel pour le souiller, selon la prédiction divine de l’homme de Dieu qui avait annoncé ces événements.
